Hi I am Isaac and I’m going to tell you about Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was the 32nd president and was president from 1933-1945. He was cousins with Teddy Roosevelt the president through 1901-1909. Being president was hard for Franklin Roosevelt because First the country was going through an economic crisis and war. He was a good president because he led the nation to winning the war and he made new jobs so the homeless people would work and get money.  

 There were no jobs for people and 20000 people were homeless because there were not many jobs. Economic crisis is when people shut down shops and not that many people have jobs and if they don’t have jobs then they won’t have any money. All over the country banks shut down. They went through difficult times. In august 1935 he signed the social security Act which includes benefits for the unemployed and the eldry. So he made new jobs and helped people who needed help. 

On december 7th 1941 a lot of  Japanese planes fired at the naval base at pearl hawaii. Almost 3000 people lost their lives. A lot of planes were lying on runways.

   The war had begun. He told his people that we can help our allies and give them weapons and supplies. 

    Franklin Roosevelt was a good president because he led the nation to war and he helped the economic crisis go away. He worked very hard and he helped many people. He also helped America become what it is today.
